Wil Prada is a cinematographer and director. He grew up in a working-class immigrant family originating in the Andean villages of Peru. His grandparents migrated to Lima, his parents migrated to the US. As a child, Prada wanted to become an astronaut and migrate to the cosmos.

Prada is actively working in the film industry, mainly as a gaffer but also as a director of photography. He offers lighting, grip, and camera packages for rent, and has continued the entrepreneurial spirit of his parents, hiring crews of color onto productions in an industry where they are vastly underrepresented. Through years of experience in movement building, the film industry, and a lifelong affinity for the sciences, Prada has developed a unique lens. His work has screened at NASA, the Houston Museum of Natural Science, San Francisco MoMA, LALIFF, etc.
